New character revealed: Shin Hisako!

the name hisako (eternal child) belongs to the story of the ghost. the ghost of chiharu. l think the body of chiharu doesn’t have any connection with that story. so why the guardian gave her the name shin hisako? 1.guardian is playing too much SF. 2.guardian is in love with hisako.

i think the name shin hisako is not canon for hisako’s body.

I’m just saying I think a different theme would have been cooler, I don’t know.

I guess if they’re different entities that makes sense but just from what I’ve seen, I’m not really all that excited. If this is an evolution of Hisako, like she picked up the sword and changed… well that’s no fun. They went out of their way to make Shago his own being disconnected from Jago and Omen, so having a Hisako “evolution” would seem out of place. That would just open up the gates for Human Sabrewulf, Cinder, Spinal and other before and after clones and I have never been interested in that sort of thing, whatsoever.

Like I said though, I’m sure this character will be a dream come true to play. I suck with Fulgore but I really like Kilgore’s playstyle. I really don’t care for Hisako so this clone will likely be entertaining enough to make me try it out but thematically… Yeah, not impressed in the slightest so far. Another spirit with a completely new persona and aesthetic might have hooked me but Hisako lite isn’t really getting my juices flowing.

I think the name is for in game recognition. Like Zero suit Samus. Just Samus.

Or the moniker “Hisako” has transcended her home’s belief and reverence of her.

Within the lore, she was called Hisako due to the fact the people of her home were remembering her acts of valor. The guardians/Ichoriens/remnants/etc viewed her, as this warrior, a worthy emissary to serve as their guardian between realms. Shin Hisako could be denoted to show that this form of Hisako, the eternal child, the guardian set forth by the guardians, is her true power/form.

If that includes the “body of Chiharu”, that doesn’t diminish the legend of Hisako. If anything, it unites the legend with it’s roots.

I’m guessing that “Shin Hisako” is just a purified, guardian-ified version of Hisako, who is a ghost. Chiharu is still dead, and dust and bones at this point. Shin Hisako is the Hisako spirit purified of all that “grudge” and “vengeance” stuff that bound her to Chiharu’s grave, and now she’s just a pure guardian who’s free to come and go as she pleases in completing her mission (as opposed to Hisako, who pays a price to be separated from the gravesite per her S2 story).

While I would have preferred a completely new character to wield the blade, Shinsako seems pretty cool and looks great. Only weird thing visually for me is that giant golden dragon head on the pommel of her sword  Would’ve been cool if that could have been some other figure, since the dragon guardian is thematically tied to Kim Wu. Nothing at all would have also been ok IMO - War-gram doesn’t have any visual totem to signify the nature of the guardian attached to it, after all.

Why no one ever consider the poor, disappeared, wandering, Jacob (father of both Jago and Orchid)?
I mean, from him originated two characters both with great innate powers, I would rather he had found the guardian-katana.

See I’d already taken to calling her Shisako because of Shago before I saw Shinsako and now I can’t deal with it because I’m already too far gone calling her Shisako and Shinsako looks wonky to me.

Also if she has an impalement move I call dibs on the Shisako Shish Kebab Special.

Well we already have a lot of jago related characters in the game. We have not included jago: orchid his sister, omen the shadow demon parasite that shares many of his traits, shago the physical form of his hate and malice essentially his doppelgänger, and boss shago a combination of jago and omen.

Just a friendly reminder saying I never got a reward from beating Gargos on Godlike day one.
Oh who am I kidding I’ll buy pretty much whatever this game sells at this point, but just a thought for you XD
C’mon dude it’s just a remix. Remixes shouldn’t be overpriced IMO. 5 bucks are more than enough from this community over 6 million active players.

While I wasn’t entirely okay with how Kilgore was distributed at first, I’m actually fine with the idea of remixes themselves.

I mean, I bought this…

Not trying to be rude or anything. Just talking about some balance between genders and not let girls take over guys in this game leading to a DOA comparison. I was expecting something really dope like her father being a ghost inside a samurai armor not a remix of herself. Thinking of the aspect of classic KI’s it
never has too much gals in the game but its ok in guess.

If what you care about is balance between genders, you should want MORE female characters.

Even though we knew it was a Hisako remix, I was still hoping it would be her father or anyone that’s not just an outright alternate version her. Oh well. I’m sure she’ll be very distinct gameplay-wise.

Hmmmmm Don’t know how I feel. She still looks like a Zombie. Sort of wanted her to have a normal body like in her original lore form with her regular name. Still have to admit the name Shin Hisako alone gets me hyped.

Am strongly against a Shadow Orchid. A Violent Orchid on the other hand…

Ikr there’s only 8 female characters in the game right now not including shisako out of the current 27 characters, 7 if you don’t consider an unshackled sentient AI with the voice and body of a female.

We are a LONG ways off before we have to worry about KI becoming a DOA situation. The only female characters released with S3 + Kilgore were Kim Wu and Mira. And overall we’re talking like a 1-3 ratio.

Let me ask you a question if Chiharu died and turned into Hisako it means Hisako are Chiharu’s true self. Chiharu’s soul in essence. So how they can call that zombiefied souless thing shin Hisako? Huh?
