Finally I came to realise that the pc port of Killer Instinct was releasing through the Windows 10 store. I have heard some bad things about earlier releases. But the experience was smooth for me, downloaded the game and in-game I purchased the Supreme Edition.
Experienced some issues with the 60hz / 144hz but switched my monitor to 60hz and it ran beautifully. Steady frames and well optimized!
Then after the basic dojo training I wanted to play online matches (Friendly or ranked). And there is were I experienced the most issues. I couldn’t connect to the matchmaking servers. Checked online and found that Teredo was the main problem. From there I had to do the following steps to get the online matches working.
- Installed WAN Miniport drivers through a program devcon.exe
- Uninstalled any 'Teredo"devices in the windows device manager
- Ran CMD as administrator and had to input the following lines
*Netsh interface Teredo set state disable
*Netsh interface Teredo set state type=client
*Netsh Int Teredo Set State Enterpriseclient
*Netsh Int Teredo Show Stat - Check the Xbox app if the teredo error was gone.
- Enjoy the game online
Everytime I boot up my pc I need to repeat steps 2 to 4 to play the game online. Hopefully this issue will get patched.
Furthermore I would like to have more support for fightsticks. I have a PS3/PS4 fightstick which gets recognized in Windows 10 but without use of external program Joy2key I could not use it in game.
Mouse driven user interface would also be a very nice addition.
