That idle theme is really smooth. I like it a lot!

Saw that Kilgore might be the only character out of the new 3 to get a theme song. Pretty lame considering this theme is pretty lackluster besides the idle part which you won’t ever hear in a real match. Would have preferred a darker version of Fulgores existing theme like how shadow tigers lair had, a remix of Fulgore’s KI1 theme or something terminator inspired considering that’s one of Fulgore’s inspirations.

Disclaimer - this isn’t a personal attack on the musical composer but-

All of the themes outside of Tusk and Kim wu aren’t notable. There may be fans of the other themes, but the exploration seems minimal.

The question is- do you hear Kilgore and its story when listening to this composition or does it feel a ‘here’s a driving track I’m going to loop samples for your just-announced character thanks’
Just my opinion.

Scared for shadow orchid.
I miss Mick Gordon.

Yeah, I do.

And honestly, I think the fact that there’s a heavier focus on metal in S3+ makes sense considering S3’s theme of Gargos’ corruption. Probably just a coincidence.

Thing is, I love Sonic Adventure 2’s soundtrack over SA1’s and the soundtrack comparisons are very similar to Mick and Celdweller/Atlus. So I’m biased of course.

Care to elaborate on why you don’t think Aganos’ theme is baller as hell?
I respect your opinion, but my curiosity is going crazy.

Aganos is season 2 by Mick Gordon, he’s referencing to the season 3 songs.

So he had a hand it in it after all. Nice!

Omg AGANOS theme kicks a zz all OVER any of season 3 tunes.

And i ABHOR aganos The character. That speaks volumes about fleshing out music for narrative/ design purposes.

Lol

There is NO comparison when it comes to GodMick Gordon

it wasn’t a question of metal, it was piecing the right elements together to tell a story of the character so that the ear and mind travels that journey without the images-

They actually made a demo for Kim Wu with guitars and metal trip drums and melody and girls screaming BEFORE they realized they had to go back in and add more authentic Asian style vocals and instruments.

Mick would’ve painted that beautiful canvas from the ground up.
I do love a lot of Kims theme tho, but that relies heavily on both the bridge from her original score and the hook from the opening loop with Asian style synth staccato

I love it personally.

the slightly retroness of it all and the use of drums. feels very threatening
also parts of it slightly go into what would sound like a Terminator theme
