I have killer instinct for xbox one x, the hard punch and kick do not work. I have remapped the buttins to different ones and still no joy. I’ve delted the game and reinstalled it too.

Are you sure your controller isn’t broken? I couldn’t think of anything else reason 
Sorry maybe that wasn’t helpful, but welcome to KI forums. 
I figured out what it was, or at least how i fixed it… in the controller settings it was set on the right analogue stick for pucnes and kicks. Turned it off and all is well.
