First off I would like to begin this by stating that I harbor no ill will towards the game. I actually love what I’ve strained to manage to play of it. I love picking up ARIA and learning her has been fun and I’ve even beaten a level 50 at one point. I’m only level 27 or so and I would appreciate the PC version of Killer Instinct getting a tune up. It seems the PC version has been left in a grave to rot as matchmaking issues remain unsolved. All issues are still present, all supposed work-arounds and fixes do not work; meanwhile people on the Xbox One can find matches in mere seconds to a minute, I struggle to find one match on PC.
I can’t help feeling like second class citizen or even a third class one when the PC issues are not resolved and even ignored. Keep in mind I’m searching for exhibition matches, if I try to search ranked I can never find a match even after eight hours of searching. Searching for a lobby works most of the time but still harbors the good half hour wait of playing exhibition matches. My connection has a latency of 91ms my computer if allowed to unlimit the fps would reach 90 frames at the least. In short, I can run the game and play online. Its not a problem on my end its a problem with the port.
It hurts to talk about the game like this because every level three ender, every broken combo, every lockout into full damage cash-out feels so good and makes me love the game. But I can’t continue to be silent about the blatant issues of this game. Not only the matchmaking, but the crashes that only seem to be associated with searching matchmaking. I want to love and support this game, but I can’t help but feel like the game isn’t returning the love so to speak
