Though I bombed out of LCQs with two DQ wins and four losses, it was a fun experience to get to watch a tournament live for the first time, particularly because my best friend was traveling with me too.
Got to meet several forum people, as well as a bunch of tournament regulars, Keits, Isaac, Adam Isgreen, Brandon, and both Hisako and Tusk’s voice actors.
I also got to hang out with one of my favorite streamers and online friend Guttermagic, and it was great getting to cheer him on through LCQs and into Top 32!

I don’t know what he would be mad about. Show up on time for stuff - problem solved. As an aside, the challonge bracket is now all messed up for KIWC…
I was watching the on and off for a good part of the day and it’s worth saying there were a ton of nail biting, close matches. Just a really sick tournament.

Whoa
Really? Wow and I kept wondering who put him in losers.
What’s happening to LCD vs Thompson FT10 matches? Is it cancelled or what?
Nah, it already happened. Last night in the Salty Suite.

10-2 Thompson. LCD was free…lol
Actually, I thought he could’ve had a few of those games, but chocked it out near the end.
Still, he was going to lose the set, but it could’ve been closer. Archives on Shin Tristan Twitch channel.

21 characters in the roster showing up throughout the top 32 is impressive, but just by the end of winners round 1 we saw 19 characters in the roster used. In just 16 matches we saw well over half the roster used, and it’s impressive to see that much character variety so early in a top 32. This is why every character in KI amazing.
It’s one of Hisako’s.

You already know pink diamond is going to be in top 3.
I had such a blast there. During the second lcq I got matched up with Devil and it was such a fun match. At one point I even baited a counter breaker out of him and he seemed genuinely surprised. (He still won of course XD) After that he talked to me for a bit and gave me some very useful pointers.
First time I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing against real players outside of online.
Oh, and I won a color 10 Spinal from the turbo tunnel! I was very anxious about going, but it turned out to be an amazing weekend. Good seeing all of you. Every match I saw was awesome
Hey all, welcome to the greatest Storm…
I know you have waited much too long…

KI World Cup was definitely fun to watch, but holy sh*t, if this wasn’t one of the worst twitch chats I have ever had the displeasure of seeing.
