Is there ANYTHING that would justify losing FIVE stages?

just be careful with your wording lol

I think a lot of people seem to be assuming relighting the game was a massive undertaking. It likely took about as much man hours as making one single stage. Two at the most.

I, for one, absolutely love the stages they have made and I will always want more. I hope they do some kind of fundraiser to gauge interest like they did with shadow jago, to make more.

So…forum people discussing things that would justify losing 5 stages, type people. Good day to you all. Theres a number of things I could think of that warrant less stages. like kick ■■■ well thought out characters that go way back. Like battle toads went back to what the eraly 90’s? That’s my suggestion anyways.

I’d edit that post right now dude. Just looking out for you.

cool, god bless you good sir. You truly are a good samaritan.

I am very out of the loop, but I think games as recent as SF4 have stages for every character, ¿no?

How many FG’s have 20 stages?

What are we complaining about here, honestly?

QUESTION FROM JACKACID
How many characters and how many stages?
Just curious about a count for both. Please include all unlockable characters/levels as well.

25 characters and 17 stages. I think 4 of the stages are the same but are at different times of the day.

Then you don’t understand low budget time contained game development… clearly

What an odd question…

For me the question is “why waste so much time and so many resources to give us more of something which we already have more than enough of?”

People don’t even care about half the stages we already have.

nothing can make it for the stages.stages are stages, other features are other features.they are not comparable things. i hope they will announce the stages for later.

IG has been very receptive to fan feedback as far as what gets put in the game. I am relatively certain if enough people cried about wanting more stages they would find a way to do it, even if it were a kick-starter of some kind.

That’s not the point. Unlike most fighting games, this one has had character-specific stages up to this point. It’s comparing apples to oranges. It’s something that was a key feature in the first 2 KIs that was carried over & is as key a part of what makes KI unique as KI’s combo theory is.

That’s my guess. It has to be something really big.

Character specific level isn’t unique to KI. Street Fighter had it as well. But that idea isn’t sustainable. We’re now learning this the hard way, sadly. As the roster grows it simply isn’t sustainable to keep adding stages especially when they only serve cosmetic purposes and aren’t apart of the meta game (ie: Smash)

Would I like more levels? Of course! But I’ll take 8 new, smoothly animated characters over 5 more stages that ultimately don’t change the game at all.

Exactly, a lot of FG’s in the 90’s and early 00’s had stages for every characters…these days that is a rare thing to come across. Obviously back then level design was probably a lot less complex as it is now.
