I will do it tomorrow/today “Tuesday” send me a PM and let’s see if we can get it worked out. I would like to get those achievements also.
Man it feels so weird. I might be just tired but it doesn’t feel smooth or anything to play.
Then again It’s just the first day.
This isn’t a knock on the game (which I won’t be able to play until I get home Sunday), but transitioning between games is always a bit weird and NRS games are not usually described as “smooth.” They have the sort of janky tap tap combo thing going on etc. But give it some time and it may start to feel a little more natural to you.
Oh.
for some reason i cant use the premier skins that i got from the ultimate edition ( idk if this is a glitch or wait)
The other thing to mention is Injustice2 makes heavy use of timed combos & juggles. It’s all about rhythm and EACH character is different from the next no clones traits are exclusive
I rather like its structure for its challenging yet rewarding finesse.
I have to commend the character- specific training sequence for EACH character for overcoming the ‘this character is too hard to learn therefore they suck’ threshold.
Rather than a random stream ’ look at what I can do’ (which are very nice for getting to know the character pre release), the training mode TEACHES you the combo traits and specials of each characters So you learn timing and purpose in minutes what would take hours of random gameplay in any other new fighting game element.
There is no ‘oooh what was that move robin just performed ?’ And then months later you find your rhythm and habits come together in your own personal fighting spirit for that particular character. You find the essentials so THEN you can perfect your fave strings. You cannot move forward in training unless you learn Combo strings but is such a reward because you walk away knowing something awesome and obtain GEAR and in-game money for succeeding.
*************This changes my view of nrs / MK style fighting aesthetic. The multiple arsenal of attacks and whoa ME getting into reversals and wake ups because it showed me and suggested strengths of each character I attempted to try. ********************
What an amazing experience this will be for the kids / adults who have years invested in these wonderful characters and now have something worthy to view and engage in.
Got a chance to play Robin Firestorm & Catwoman and man some three-input combos are super- crazy challenging but beautifully fluid upon mastering the timing and flow. Firestorm will definitely be a confirmed main. Gorgeous and flashy-mobile, feels good - as does batman to my surprise.
Green Arrow stances Fire/ice/ electric arrows WOW aquamans insane kilik spear stabs
I refused to learn mkx beyond a tap tap special mentality but characters like poison Ivy & vixen and ESPECIALLY STARFIRE demand the practice and discipline for a great experience. I WANT to learn Firestorm juggles and setups and crazy top tier antics. He looks Just amazing in motion.
I love the blue-black costume in his loadouts and the exclusive demon shader is
I applaud nrs for setting the standard of an engaging fighting game experience for fans.
The dread of darkness of unlively content is gone and a plethora of colors and accessories make for an excellent replay value. Stages are insanely gorgeous but do not take away from the fight- the transitions are cinematic and you feel the impact-
Black Adam is a beast (I love to imagine he’s storm) & Robin’s cocky acrobatic/ full- screen anime sword antics are fantastic you FEEL like a superhero successfully connecting these flashy combos.
I’m excited about finessing poison Ivy / StarFire into the type of main I have in Orchid & Kim where reactions are impulses and I’m rather surprised that I don’t crave using the ‘ultimates’ more than landing hot combo strings and nasty setups!
Looking forward to collecting enough accessories to make that awesome red CatWoman costume
Another notable is how select obtained gear gives you new moves FTW
Also
UPDATE: full combo lists are available even during solo matches. Awesome
LETS GO STARFIRE I’m waiting!!!
Can anybody comment on the netcode and online play yet?
I can expect a few laggy games. But is it at least decent? And by decent I mean better than SFV.
I’m totally loving the Wonder Woman God Shader.
I need a couple of clones of me so I can lvl up multiple characters at once. I wish the game had an “operations” mode like the mobile app.
I love the god shaders on poison Ivy & Robin as well! He demon looks good on green arrow/ Black Adam/ green lantern
I am really liking the tutorial for each character. I would like to know if you can unlock the skins that are shown at the end of the superman story.
My understanding is the netcode is better than SFV. NRS has a really bad reputation with netcode, it was awful in MK9, Inj1 and MKX before the netcode patch in MKXL.
When they updated MKX’s netcode they fixed most of the netcode issues and it plays well online. I imagine they’re using the same netcode for Inj2. Is it as good as KI’s? I doubt it. But it’s up there and it’s likely a bit better than SFV’s. They also added in frame delay for offline mode. This is going to be handy for people practicing combo timing for online play as it will allow you to simulate playing online in an offline setting.
NRS games are all “Dial a combo” systems You memorize your strings and dial them in and then essentially time the linkers to continue dialing in the string. This system has pro’s and cons but it’s one of the main things that defines NRS games. The good thing is you’re rewarded for practice, the bad thing is it really gates new players and casual players who don’t want to take the time to practice putting combos into muscle memory. The other glaring issue with it is once you level up 2 way interaction becomes severely limited. If you don’t have clash and you’re playing someone who has 40% bnb’s you’re forced to just sit there and watch which eventually starts to become pretty repetitive.
Something also somewhat unique to NRS games is the way hurtbox’s work. Your combos will not work the same on every character. Some characters will have larger hurtbox’s that enable you to do some combos to them that you can’t do on the smaller models. So when you start learning your combos you also need to learn which combos work in which matchups and which ones don’t.
Have you tested it yourself yet? Know anyone that has?
So I just started the story. I’ve been leveling up different characters. Anyways… I’m wondering if some of these outfits we see in story mode can be rewarded? I want this Harley Quinn outfit.
And this is just a screenshot of Joker. I like his look.
That head gear and shader is in for Harley Quinn
yes I find new joker refreshing the other ones slats seemed haggard and smelled of formaldehyde
I’m really looking forward to the character specific tutorial mode. I’m hoping it’s not just a series of brutally hard combos that I find impossible to do - like in SF, MvC etc
Wait until you do superman’s ending and see his and batman’s outfits. Those are 2 that I want.
Brainiac has a skull ship?
Game is ■■■ (.)
The character specific tutorial gives you 5-10 that you can try and there’s also the full combo list for each character in- game by the options button for perfecting -
then string together those dial ups or customize if you’re Combo happy
I was very impressed by the general lessons on wake up / reversals/ cancels
