I am pleased- I was honestly worried I’d be disappointed so I tried not to envision her moveset in my head
I did have the iteration of Phoenix/ dark Phoenix from the awesome video game x-men: next dimension in mind tho
Note in the dark Phoenix eniding from xmnd the exploding moon/star
Note in the Phoenix combo how Starfire has the rising spinning move & the spin fire move that trails fire
I love these subtle nods as she’s an Astral character
I was hoping it wouldn’t just be a linear bolt like black Adams so that she received multiple variations of star bolt powers is appealing
I knew her actress so I was not shocked to hear her tone-I love they used the same VA from animated series
The laser / star bolt sound effects are music to the ear. Can’t wait to see her reflective powers on jokers playground/ swamp stages
I expected a flame trail similar to firestorm my 2nd fave male character so her meter burn throw is amazing
She seems to play a mix of firestorm dr fate & hawgirl from injustice 1
And mix of surprisingly inspiration from Rogue of xmen as kori has superhuman strength and is nearly indestructible
Something different? I’d hope they gave her a helmet with ponytail but I’m sure that’d be a cgi programming nightmare
And I hope they will incorporate her many costumes like the awesome spacesuit in red hood & outlaws.
The most anticipated is finding out what her abilities are from the trailer and most important her character Power
I’m not much a fan of flight command moves (storm in MVC2, supergirl, ermac (my main behind kenshi in mkx) ) I feel it should be a lot like marvel ultimate alliance a cool down from a double tap but that’s just me
I could watch poison Ivy’s win animation all day and Starfire’s matches that feeling of awe
I love that she doesn’t just rise in the air and pose, she really surprised me in her win animation
As an artist & lover of the female video game aesthetic I give her an 8 of 10 stars
What about dropping the remix characters(particularly, the KI’s ones, which have been mentioned) argument which has NOTHING to do with Injustice 2 in general, Starfire in particular, and stay on topic?
Yeah, I’ve been there too… So many people were disappointed with Orchid when she was announced, because now she was more military than she was in the past. But I loved it. I absolutely loved it. I mean… I know I look at her with different eyes than most guys who like her, because I don’t get turned on by her, but she’s just so freaking badass!
So yeah… my point being that you can love or hate a character for whatever reason while others might not have the same opinion as you… and that’s okay. ^^
We don’t need to rehash the argument about whether a remix character is new or real or anything else. But I don’t see how you can say it’s less of a character than a skin.
Yes i will say I shared the excitement I’ll never forget the day sadiras trailer came out and we saw orchid flip and then her firecat was BESIDE her
I miss that fresh and exciting nature of KI there’s no more reveal or costume support
I never had such awe again until my next fave kim was released even though I’d have loved more customization options the essence of kim was retained and enhanced
Back to topic,
Netherrealm’s Starfire trailer renewed that unmistakable love of the gaming and comic genre why we love this field of entertainment & the developers delivered gold and stayed true to defining this character we’ve only seen in comics or animated into a fully modeled cgi powerful entity
Starfire announcement was truly the reason I chose to delve into Injustice2- but a LOT more confirmed the great decision along the way. Such a great gaming experience EVEN ONLINE lol those spammy saps in player match
Thanks so much! I still wonder how The Penguin fans feel with no love in the games yet LOL
I’m really hoping a lot of Beast Boy fans are going to be in surprise in future DLC it makes me smile to see people get their faves represented
I really felt the love of gaming when eyedol was announced, specifically when fans of that character like you and @KevBones10 were in uproar of the best kind
