About 1.5 years, but time wise it was only part-time as a hobby project. Mostly over the weekends. Sometimes didn’t do any work on it for a while, and then come back to it again at a later date. This is my first game project and to be honest at times I did find it difficult to work solo.
Excited to share some screenshots from “Caution Ahead: Part 2”, showcasing the eerie environments and atmosphere of Richburg National Park as John continues his search and rescue mission.
Thanks! I appreciate you keeping an eye on the progress It’s taking longer than I hoped, but it’s getting there. I really enjoy working on this project.
I did email a bunch of youtubers, but it seem like there are too many alternative indie horror games to compete, so hard to get coverage.
My pleasure, dude! I’m glad you’re enjoying your time making this. All you need is passion and patience, which you very much seem to have. If only more developers had that same level of enthusiasm for their work as you do.
Understandable. There’s definitely no shortage of indie horror games out there, to be sure, and it can be tricky finding a way to stand out from the crowd.
Out of curiosity, do you have any other projects in the works, horror game or otherwise?
Since I’m working on this project part-time after my day job, my time is pretty limited. I have tons of ideas for other projects, but trying to control myself, otherwise I won’t get anything done
Once I release 3rd part of Caution Ahead, I’d love to dive into some sort of RPG project.
Regarding the RPG project, I don’t have anything set in stone yet, but I envision something that captures the essence of classic top-down RPGs like Fallout 1 & 2 or Arcanum. Those games had a profound impact on me when I was younger.
