Idea for knight/mage style character

I want a weapon mage that form different weapons from a magic hilt. Special motions span across all weapons.

Taunt+Attack button = weapon summon

Weapons:

Fire staff
Lightning arrow
Ice Broadsword
Vine whip
Light shield
Shadow Schiff

Since KI is a modern/futuristic post-apocalyptic setting, I’d prefer if the mage-like character was that as well, and not something taken out from a medieval fantasy setting. I don’t think it would fit well. Even Tusk who is an ancient barbarian has gotten a modern twist on his appearance.

Spinal is everything magic.
KI is more loose with it’s concepts than most other fighting games. So I think it counts to keep him ancient.

On the flip side, Kan-Ra doesn’t look modern, and he still turned out to be a great character.

Well I was trying to address that not everyone character is based around science. Otherwise guys like spinal and Gargos would not exist.

As far as the archer is concerned. You guys can go either way with this one.

I could probably see that being a rival towards either Tusk or one of the characters during the Babylon era, such as Spinal, Kan-Ra, or even Aganos.
