I just have this question, I see all these abbreviations in front of people’s names, and the only one I know is UA for ultra arcade, I have no idea what SO, SL, etc is. I know they are sponsors, and I’m just wondering, how does someone get sponsored (for ki in particular) and what are the different sponsors, and maybe their experiences being sponsored
Good public interaction (in person and social media), and good placement in tournaments. Or you could know someone willing to sponsor.
Usually a combination of the two.

Doing well at a tournament majors to be specific and being active in the community are ways you want to start out.

From what I’ve seen and experienced, it’s either from knowing people or being known by people. There are other little things but those are the big 2.
