How do you fight gargos?

I’ve never played an RPG before, so this mode makes very little sense to me. I mean, I figured out how to craft items and such and how to pick the fights, but what I’m not understanding is when the hell does gargos pop up for you to fight?

I don’t really care for lore, story or any of that, I just want to unlock the astral stage.

Based on what I have played, if you lose fights or just skip turns (Things that allow more corruption) he will arrive faster but good luck beating him with all his buffs on lol idk if they buffed the whole mode or not but I can’t even but the damn Omen’s now lol

Ah thanks, makes sense now. If he’s as cheesy as a mimic omen I fought with BS power-ups, then I don’t see myself bothering. I would have to grind just to craft power-ups to be as broken as Gargos. I really hate the idea of having to play shadow lords to unlock a damn stage.

Failing or not completing missions causes corruption to rise. Once 3 continents are fully corrupted then gargos will arrive.

Nice, so it has to be 3 continents. How do you debuff gargos though to make the fight less bs?

That requires one of the continents to reach 50% corruption, which will spawn an Omen for you to fight the day after the continent is corrupted.

If you REALLY want to take him down early, you could use the Finger of St. Garrock item to increase corruption…but you should probably just wait it out.

Good Luck with how Difficult he is right now no one is ever going to get that stage.

Especially if he is that adamant about just going to gargos as fast as possible. The point is to delay it and get a lot of powerful items and lower gargos strength. Not forgoing the game and going straight to the final boss

KI is a fighting game, not world of warcraft. I don’t mind that people like the mode or that they added it, I’m just baffled as to why they would lock a stage behind such a mode and ridiculous requirements. The slime costumes I can understand but a stage…IG .plz…

Not to mention the fact that it’s a stage that’s really nothing special, just kind of thrown in there to make-up for lack of real stages. Blame MS for not giving this game and IG a bigger budget that they can definitely afford. Anyway I’m done ranting now.

I don’t mind not having the stage to be honest, it’s not good for competitive play. Very difficult to locate the corners and the layout causes spacial orientation issues. I think thunders stage is still the Best one IMO.

I…what? What part of shadow lords is like WoW? I also don’t get why your surprised a stage and costume is lovked in a story mode designed for multiple play sessions? A lot of fighting games with story mode does this.

Beat the omens
