Just seems counter-intuitive. I want to like so many posts but not enough likes :(*

If I had to guess (I know I SHOULD be more informed about this in a position like mine, but I’m not. I just make sure people play nice. I’ll have to double check later to see if this is factually sound) it’s to foster conversation. If the number of likes you can post is limited, but the number of posts you can make infinite, then it would encourage people to add to the discussion rather than just upvoting a post that says something in line with their thoughts.
Or I dunno. Maybe prevent spam bots from artificially inflating likes or some such thing.
