Despite the fact that the tone of her games doesn’t exactly fit KI:

She has so many varying abilities to pull from they could really make her a unique and fun character in KI.

I still would love to see her in a fighter someday. Whether it’d be Smash or some other fighter where she fits (preferably 2D) just unfortunately not KI.

For me, I would like to see Skullgirls or Darkstalkers characters.

I think those would be interesting to see in KI’s world.

Yes, I saw it and loved it. The video was produced and directed by Llexi Leon, a comic creator who pitched the idea to them and was apparently the fan of video games, not necessarily the band. He talks about it here and was really the one developing the video and choosing the references.

Oddly enough, I had been requesting Eddie as a gust character in both MK and KI.
I assumed the chances were minuscule it would happen in reality, so I was thrilled to see it happen in music video form. However, it just cements it as an awesome idea, especially in KI where he could get a themed stage and guitar rock that fits right in with the metal/monster KI vibe. Again, probably will never happen, but felt it was worth mentioning again, because of how the video made it seem like the idea works so well.

Revisiting the idea of Eddie from Iron Maiden, the guy I mentioned in this old post is now interactive director for Iron Maiden. Since he did the MK reference, he’s obviously a fighting game fan. Maiden now has a mobile RPG with a ton of cool Eddie designs, so they seem to be pushing more in the gaming space with the license. Got this response on Twitter

I think the Swordslinger from “Red Steel 2” would be a pretty cool character to have as a guest.

I think a cool KI guest characters would be one of the Lee bros. from Double Dragon. It’s an old arcade beat em up that crossed over with Battletoads in the past.

Would be nice to return the reference and give Rash a proper rival.
