What games have you played SO MANY times that you basically AND
practically have them memorized?
Mega Man X is one game I have played VERY OFTEN/SO MANY times before that I basically AND practically pretty much have it memorized including knowing much of its layout such as the Mavericks’ stages as well as knowing EXACTLY which precise, appropriate weapon to use on the final bosses/boss characters in each of their respective stages: The Mavericks.
Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse. This was one of my favorite 3ds games so I played it quite often. To the point where I know every dark magic and heart squid location.
Time Crisis 1 and 2 (arcade), the first being far more difficult compared to the second, which I didn’t lose.
Tiny Toon adventures and Adventure Island 2 and 3 (NES), Tazmania (Megadrive), Golden Axe 3 (Megadrive), Tiny toon Adventure 2 (NES and I still don’t know how I managed to play that game without dying..), Star Wars Trilogy (arcade), Jurassic Park the Lost World (arcade). There was also a time I player Super Mario World by heart.
Oh, and Contra 4 for the DS (what a game!).
Why isnt there a Megaman X collection yet?
I have the original collection on xbox and loved the memories, but the X series are to me far superior (eventhough it doesnt seem to be the popular opinion).
I also dislike that they keep making games in the original series and not the X series, the interest in mighty number 9 shows there is plenty of interest in one…
This is really a function of 8 and 16 bit games that were hard but short. Ninja Garden (the original) was one I memorized and could go through without dying. One of the EGM editors claimed to be able to beat the game with the tv turned off and I can believe it.
Halo 2 I could probably recite from memory.
I’ve played enough of the Doom games to basically hip back in with no problems anywhere in the game(s).
Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex
Goldeneye, Zelda Ocarina of time, Time crisis 2, Metal Gear Solid 1, Final Fantasy VII and X, Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines, Dark Souls, Gears of War, Borderlands 1 and 2…
Captain America and the Avengers on NES - Mandarin is one of my favourite game bosses ever and his pattern is really unique for a NES game, I lost to him a lot back in the day.
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Warrior Within and Two Thrones are one of my favourite game trilogies and I also beat them over a dozen of times.
