Still wasnât their any option to bedazzle the blackness a little? I donât know like add smoke or allow the cuts Shago leaves on his opponent mark the screen with fragments of blood stained slashes. That sort of thing?
Iâm not graphic major or design specialist so I donât know how that works. But, was leaving the stage black truly the best option both for astetics and practicality?
Also, I do care about the step by step process, thatâs why Iâve been asking for a Killer Instinct book that went through each step and whatnot. MS Plz.
Side note: If you guys would ever be willing to touch up Shagos Ultra, his final blow should be amplified. Sort of just sounds like a medium, meh.
Is it possible to make them as I suggested and more like a 2D MKX brutality? It doesnt match Shagos bench mark of a n UltimateâŠbut if it comes down to either a new way or no way⊠how possible would this idea be?
I get that itâs a pain in the â â â to make Shagoâs Ultimate compatible with each stage, but why the boring, pitch black background? You canât even tell where Shagoâs facing. Could at least be a night sky or something, like you did with Gargosâ intro or like Injustice does with their supers.
Iâve been taking a look at how other games do it.
Marvel 3, for instance, has some magic blue/black effect going on in the background during cinematic level 3s, example:
But I think importantly, they donât cover up the floor with the effect, which still gives some semblance that you are on the stage youâre on. They just apply this effect to the area above the floor, where there would be problems.
KIâs cinematic level 4 ender effects try to do a green smokey-type effect which doesnât look very good to me. But I donât think covering up the background with âstuffâ is a bad approach, there just needs to be some reminder of the stage youâre on AND the effect has to not look out of place. Especially for ultimates, which have a screen darkening effect and some windup, so the transition doesnât just come out of nowhere. For cinematic level 4 enders, you are fighting and then 1 frame later you are transported to a new place and it feels very disconnected.
Iâve always thought that would be the easiest solution - similar to what you did with the Level 4 enders. Whatâs the down side to this, other than the background always being black for Ultimates? Sounds like it wouldnât require nearly as much time as the other options you mentioned?
i kinda want the level 4 effects to use the background from the shadow lord stage. the stars and more importantly the stage would pop in for the duration of the effect then leave or fade back to the normal stage
That makes sense, and the workaround youâve made for Shago is great, but I canât help but ask with the advent of things such as Ariaâs instinct startup and, more importantly, Gargosâs ending animation with the world in the background, I canât help but ask if perhaps Shagoâs ultimate couldnât be tweaked to make it look a bit more like the boss Shago version, such as having a night sky with a moon behind it, maybe do something similar to the Lvl 4 enders when heâs on the ground with the smoke effectâŠsomething to make it more visually appealing than just solid black.
Sounds like a great summer project to me for season 4. Iâll take a black screen just to see Orchid n a NEW OUTFIT shocking the loser to death in a spectacular Tommy Lee style drum playing baton frenzy.
. Itâs also a surprise to see Eagle listed on here as well being a Street Fighter character from the original game. He uses double sticks as his main choice of weapon and hasnât been included in a Street Fighter game in despite the continued requests. Could this be a new partnership with Microsoft and Capcom?
I seen this on facebook⊠whomever wrote that is obviously not a fan nor paying attention. thats why you can never trust reviews and articles on games or music, movies, ectâŠ
