Hey, wanna give a thanks to this awesome community! I’ve already made friends here in a week and quite a few people have pulled me into lobbies and in a matter of days I went from starting a salty thread about getting the beatdown to going from bronze to gold. Those lobbies got me skills, I’m really hyped now!
I’m used to the git gud FPS community, whereas this chilling online and chatting to people while learning makes the grind fun and has been a good change of pace.
I have encountered it, lol. However, it has been largely negated by an even stronger friendlier atmosphere. Don’t get me wrong, I’m aware the FGC breeds the greatest douchebaggery of all genres, yet, at least with Killer Instinct there’s many, many unusually friendly people to counter the asses. And they have my thanks.
Thanks for this @slaughternautt. I haven’t been engaged with you except for a couple of posts on the forum, but I look forward to the opportunity to hang out and play KI some time. I’d just like to highlight that the experience you are describing sounds like the kind of community I would like to be a part of.
Also, I just wanted to take the opportunity to (once again) tag in the @developers to point out how incredibly useful an online practice mode would be for the kind of community building engagement that is being described here. Even better, the ability to toggle this on and off in a lobby (something that Skullgirls already does). I can dream can’t I?
