I’m 18 years old, but I’ve been playing since the start of season 1 so I guess I was 16 then

My gamer tag was heavily influenced by the game legacy of kain soul Reaver.
Well there really wasn’t much meaning behind my gamer tag, I just wanted to rep one of my favorite games from my childhood but now I’m debating on changing it soon.
I’m a returning KI player, I wasn’t born around the time that KI was in the arcades, and when I was young I didn’t have much games to play. At the age of 3 my brother had killer instinct for the snes and for the n64 so i was immediately hooked on them, I played them non stopped for years until I learned every character. I had more childhood games as mentioned before legacy of kain soul reaver at the time I had on the ps1 but bought for the Dreamcast (I own every console between the Sega genesis to the current day consoles, most came from my brother, some are modded, and the rest I bought when I had an internship), and my favorite game next to those two was house of the dead 2 (the first boss is my profile picture) now I definitely spent money playing that game at the arcade. I could continue about my history with KI but its not necessary.
Interesting fact: I love fighting games with a passion but I never played online for some reason, but when KI season 1 came out, It became the first fighting game I played online, after that I started playing other fighting games online.
Final note: This community is just amazing, I appreciate the conversations and the advice I receive here. Because of this community I stopped creeping on the forums and started participating and getting involved in topics. I think everyone from the members to the devs are really weird but great people.

That’s actually fairly similar to my FG story. I’ve played FGs for years, (Capcom FGs, MK, whatever) but never really played online, although honestly online was pretty much a joke in every FG until 6 or 7 years ago. But this KI is my first FG that I’ve actually tried to git gud with online.

Ello my name is Frank Im a struggling ECD student, not sure if I want to work in a daycare or with at-risk youth or CPS time will tell.
Im currently 35yrs old, turning 36 in December, renting an apartment with my sister in the majestic house farms of Vancouver where the number of unoccupied homes outnumber the homeless 5:1 (dont ask me my citations, cant remember and im open to the idea of being wrong)
My Gamertag comes from the Space Jam song “Come on and SLAM and welcome to the JAM.” Ergo, SLAMJAM. the FGC is to differentiate the game Im playing. On Counterstrike Im known as FPS Slamjam, etc. If I ever pick up an rpg or an rts or any other acronym type game, Id put it at the front of my name.
I used to play KI on the original SNES then KI Gold on the N64, but for the most part I button mashed. It wasnt until a friend introduced me to Counterstrike 1.6 that the idea of gittin gud in a game occurred to me.
After recently retiring my days at CS:GO as a lowly Silver Elite Guardian, ive realized my reaction time has started to slow and seeing that KI was coming out for PC and following MaxDood on youtube it seemed like the stars were right in getting into fighting games for the first time.
An interesting fact about myself, I main Shago and I try to play him legitimately. 9/10 I will go for the demon. 1/10 I would still rather go for the demon.
My goal for this game is to get fit, go to evo, take my shirt off in the finals and give Rico Suave the predatormovie handshake at the closing ceremony and make it into Max’s Hype Evo moments of 20XX.
