Advice against fighting Tusk Players. Stop mashing buttons and jumping in and you'll do fine

Tusk is basically designed to punish low level play. And by low level play, I mean:

  1. Mashing Buttons

  2. Constant jumping

  3. Constant Rushing

  4. Predictable Wake ups

If you have a habit of doing these things, you’re going to have a bad time. If you don’t want to take the time to learn how to be patient or learn alternative ways to be offensive, I can understand why you would hate Tusk.

Tusk can punish all of these things easily with his deflect mechanics and his powerful normals. Instead of waking up with DPs all the time, wake up with a grab or you know… just block. The recovery on his moves is so long that you can fry chicken wings before he finishes his animation. Instead of jumping in and getting hit with his half screen HP, just wait until the Tusk player wiffs something and punish accordingly.

KI can be fun and flashy just by mindlessly pressing buttons. But at some point, you’re going to have to learn to put a little thought into your gameplan.
