Since Kilgore is coming on January 3, 2017, my predictions are:
New Character #2 will be teased/revealed around late January (fifth week of January) or early February (first week of February). Live stream of the character by the devs would be mid-February (third week of February) and its release date would be around the fourth to fifth week of February.
New Character #3 won’t be teased late February or early March. KI World Cup 2017 is in March 10-12, so possibly on Day 1, the character would be revealed and its gameplay is shown. The build which includes said character will be playable for all throughout the given date.
Chances may be extremely slim for this. I say it again, EXTREMELY SLIM. In KI World Cup 2017, not only the third new character would be revealed, they will also reveal new content for KI or more better, Season 4. New content could be Accessories, Costumes, Stages, Ultimates, Modes, but who knows.
New Character #3 would be released at the fourth week of March.
And I have to bring them it up again, but Shadowrun. I have to mention it. The FPS spin-off game has just recently become backwards compatible and is the only multiplayer shooter I liked more than Halo. The recent RPGs are all excellent and cheap by now. If there is one Microsoft IP that fits in with Killer Instinct, imo its Shadowrun.
If IG/MS were to come out and say that Shadowrun and KI take place in the same universe, nothing would have to change. There would just be 24 more named NPCs in Shadowrun, and a few dozen in KI.
Kitsune are real in Shadowrun.

No. Shadow Orchid is 1st place in reimagined character survey. But why would he take Shadow Orchid place? Two character is Shadow Orchid because you can see there Shago and Omen in middle roster.
I don’t think any additional shadow characters make sense at this point.
The only reason Gargos possessed Jago was so he could get a foothold on the Earth dimension, now that he’s got his portal open there is no reason to possess any more fighters. :\
