They should scrap the ability to use that Eruption Stab he has that’s unblockable fully charged and just give access to the move only when his sword is fully heated up, then he can use the Unblockable with half as long a start-up. Slightly increase the damage of it too. The Emblazoned Sword sword actually last 4 seconds when it’s max heat. When it’s heating up it cools off just as quickly as it currently does.
Everyone in this topic says no and I agree. This barbarian is way too good I couldn’t stop watching the gameplays more than 10 times. The heating blade is just for visual looks and it’s awesome; DON’T make it a buff or he would be too OP. Seriously who would think he’s not strong enough already?
I think the heating of the blade is actually there as an indicator of the amount of damage he’s already doing.
Think about it: When he hits his opponent, it goes through them like nothing, but the moment he hits something that provides resistance the friction is so much it superheats the blade and sparks fly off it like a giant piece of steel hitting a huge chunk of flint.
That, or we could just go with the sword having an enchantment on it.
As far as how it lights up in instinct (which is beyond awesome!) it’s probably symbolic about how he’s unlocking his fiery rage and going absolutely berserk, so much so that his strength can pull him back down to Earth in mid uppercut and then he cam immediately chop them skyward once more (though it appears doing so costs a small chunk of instinct with each use)
Everybody is in fact, agreeing. Which thread are you reading?
examples:
Enough?
Matter of fact is you can’t know how strong he is.
I can’t know that. I won’t make assumptions based on three videos.
To be fair, if you’re going to quote me here, please include the end of my post, as well; it’s not extremely important to have an effect, but I thought that my suggestion was a way it could be implemented.
Like you said, we’ll learn a lot more tonight anyway.
He said everybody disagreed. I proved him wrong with a c-c-c-counter quote. Point made ![]()
@Filemoncio Can I have your personal information and contacts to your lawyer?
Because I almost died choking on my sandwich as I read that last post I would like to receive some form of compensation.
Lmao!
Ah I see. My bad i was too lazy to read everyone’s opinions so I skimmed thru and saw some that said no.
From what I gathered he has a deflect window, an insane attack range, and crazy amount of damage. But he is a bit slow in speed and attacks. His deflect window is what makes him a real juggernaut so you have to watch out for that. We’ll have to wait after today’s stream then.
I am going to disrespect that deflect window so hard… ![]()
Hey, I did not. So not everybody…
How about when on maximum heat his specials get a DoT on them
Everybody relevant, I meant.
Ah, so people who agree with you, you mean.
Well, now I know what kind of person you are…
Oh, come on. It’s a joke my dear. You should know me better by now.
I should? I dunno who you are…
I think it should have an effect, but a very tiny one. Like, say, doing an additional 1% more damage, and half that on chip.
Attacks are slow and some moves are punishable, but still delivers a lot of damage. Anyone having second thoughts?
What? Dude, we’ve been on the DH forums since months before release. If I remember correctly, your avatar was orchid, and his was some kind of yellow (green maybe?) Tree snake. His name was filemon204 at the time.
Personally, I just like that it looks cool. I think it heats up and cools down too quickly to be a game mechanic, but they could adjust it very easily. My first thought when seeing it was that Tusk would lose access when it got too hot. That makes a little bit of sense when you see the good range and the chip damage of his sword normal. But, frankly, I don’t think Tusk really needs a more complex mechanic.
Judging by the stream, Tusk is not OP, and I like that he is noob friendly. I think it’s okay to just have an awesome visual effect be an awesome visual effect.
