Season 3 Soundtrack Available October 25th

I’d reckon it’s in the PC digital DE too, though I can’t be sure.

As soon as I see what the PC version looks like, I will confirm, but from what I recall it is a 1:1 match minus the ports of KI 1 & 2 classic.

Question for @SasquatchPotato:

Are the songs in the upcoming digital release going to be the exact same as in the DE version or will they be extended mixes with chorus repeats? I noticed not a single chorus of each S3 song is repeated once…

So there’s less than a week left for the soundtrack to release. Will it be up for pre order???

Will this be on Apple Music like the other two ??

My only minor issue is the price. For 11.99 we got s1/s2 with the classic tracks. This season only has 9 tracks and they’re the same price. 8.99 or 9.99 would’ve been more appropriate in my opinion. I’ll still buy it though lol

It is even better full versions! My god what is the music of Rash ?! It is simply amazing!

It was different in the UK, for me at least. £11.99 or so was S1 and 2’s pricing for basically a double album with the soundtrack+the arcade/killer cuts of that game. £8.91 was the pricing for S2 and whilst steap, it wasn’t as bad as I’d expected.

All in all, though I’m disappointed. It’s basically what you got on the DE, no additional edits from what I’ve heard. Just makes me wonder how much passion Celldweller and AP had for the franchise in the first place, also given the fact that they didn’t even give all the footage for the making of music for all the characters, as well as calling the idle theme “the boring state” just doesn’t sit well with me. Not that the composers are bad, just that I don’t think they really put their all into the game, if you know what I mean. Just a subjective retrospective.

I think they called it the boring state because they said that it plays whenever the player puts down the controller and takes a little break. It’s meant to be a little joke.

Another minor issue I have, the gargos theme, the first minute of it, is the best part of the whole track, it should be like the chorus. Sadly, after the first minute, it isn’t heard anymore. So yeah, I wish the edit was different.

Not a big fan of Rash’s theme on the soundtrack. it leaves out a few elements I thought added a lot of fun energy to the track… namely the lead up to the pause theme music (which is just unceremoniously inserted near the start of the track in this version)

Kim Wu’s theme also feels like it should repeat the vocal section near the end of the track. And there are some examples of how I feel the track takes a bit to long to get going, (Arbiter) or dons’t hit the real exciting parts of the music soon enough (Tusk)
