Please don't cater to SJRs (aka SJWs)

From my point of view, it’s less about missing out on entire games, as it is the potential differences to scenes or content we’re already getting in M rated games. Be that as it may, I’m simply against the companies’ standpoints where they WILL NOT support a game which receives that kind of rating. I don’t NEED an AO game, but if a developer wants to make one, I feel they should still be able to do so and distribute it.

I’m more interested in the violence/gore aspects than digital nudity, but I’m not the type of person who is uncomfortable with the existence of it, and so I wouldn’t pass up on a game simply because it has nudity in it. I’m a big fan of Gears Of War, and love how brutal the blood, gore, and dismemberment is in that series. I also really enjoyed the Fatalities and Brutalities in MKX, and I’ll admit I was surprised at what they were able to fit into an M rating. If the current version of MKX was the “AO Cut” and a toned down version was the “M Cut,” I’d have argued for or purchased the AO version, hands down.

I would personally like to see MKX levels of gore in action games like Gears Of War, or a medieval/fantasy combat game (like taking Chivalry: Medieval Warfare to another level), because I find that interesting. I don’t think that every game needs this level of violence, but that’s why I play a variety of games - from Peggle all the way through to MKX!

I’ve gone on record many times on this forum arguing against raising KI’s rating to M, so please don’t misunderstand where I’m coming from. I didn’t enjoy the mechanics or online play of MKX enough to play it past August or so, so the quality of gameplay is more important to me than how much red liquid you can splash around on screen. Everybody’s going to have widely varying opinions on this kind of subject, so if any change was to occur, I suspect it would take a fairly long time anyway.
