Fun trailer. Good work on Max’s part for assembling (apparently assembling videos is a thing, I know) and the team for making a very intriguing glass can-erm… character.
Also, the amount of “no tease” comments in this thread are juvenilely ridiculous. It’s tradition for them to put teases at the end of trailers? Oh, that’s the tradition we’re going to focus on. Not the tradition of getting quality trailers out before a character launches and not the tradition of getting teases out as early as they can and still have it be honest. Oh, and those traditions of level-headed balancing, timely corrections to unexpected glitches and consistent transparency and communication with the community nine times out of ten? Yeah, clearly none of that matters. A trailer dropped without an extra ten seconds that amount to nothing more interesting than a “wardrobe malfunction”? That’s obviously the important thing.
Well it could be useful because not everyone has seen the s3 trailer, and teaser are not always in order, if you remember at the end of tj’s one they teased cinder for hype purpose. They could tease anyone for that purpose.
And with that logic we already seen Mira, so why a trailer?
Oh true, I just meant the teasers are usually in there to reveal who the next character is. We already know in this case. We don’t know who is after Gargos so a teaser in his trailer would be great.
People are more than welcome to comment about the lack of teases. As I already stated what I have issues with are the number of posts which have nothing to say about the trailer except for demands for a teaser. How could you watch a trailer and have nothing at all to say about things you liked or even didn’t like about it? Are people just skipping to the last 20 seconds of every single trailer to watch JUST the teasers?
In my opinion things like that look unappreciative and give the idea that we as a community are perpetually dissatisfied, which I’m willing to bet is frustrating for the dev team. In this particular case, we already know exactly who is releasing in May so it isn’t like there’s a huge mystery.
When your favorite team wins the Super Bowl, are you really going to complain if the reporter doesn’t ask the QB/MVP what they’re going to do next? I doubt you would hear many complaints because nobody got to say “I’m going to Disney World!” during an interview.
Maybe they should have used the same sequence of Gargos monkey mouth rising before the globe from the original season 3 trailer.
I think people would have been more satiated that way.
Yes if you listen to Glacius theme and Mira theme, and if you have musical background you will know what I’m talking about. Can’t explain any further if you aren’t on that level.
Actually, I totally agree with you. People saying “What no teaser!?!?!?!?!” are ridiculous. It’s like if someone gives you a plate of cookies and a glass of milk and you say “What, no napkin!?!?!?!?!” It’s incredibly easy to be critical, and it’s incredibly easy to ask for more. It’s much harder to make things.
Two really good points in here. There’s already a “tease” for Gargos in the S3 trailer. It’s not like people are on the edge of their seat waiting to find out who it is.
The second thing is equally valid. It’s not a question of pretending to like things you don’t like “for the good of the game.” But “What, no teaser?!?!?!” is not a constructive criticism. It’s just complaining. When you are managing a project with the scope of KI, there are millions of things that you can get wrong. If everyone just sits around focusing on what didn’t happen, it makes the game look bad, it makes the people who work on it feel bad and it doesn’t help in any way. You can get 99% right and people just focus on the 1% you got wrong. You think they just forgot the teaser? You think they’re sitting around saying “We don’t need a teaser right?” and then they will look at your forum post and say “Oh ■■■■, better put in overtime to get that teaser out!”
When Mira drops in April, people will sit around saying “oh yeah, the last week of April” instead of saying “Wow, they hit their insane deadline yet again.” Just think for a second about how much of a character has to be complete to show a decent teaser and you will realize that it’s a lot. Especially since the voices of doom are going to jump all over the teaser telling us what’s wrong with the reveal.
It’s kind of been a trend though, Trailer, then a few days after Trailer plus tease… this is a result of people hassling the team to produce a trailer, so they do…
maybe if we were more patient we would get the finalized trailer with tease the first shot, but we push & push & push, and whine & whine & whine for a trailer, then still are not satisfied when we get it…

Honestly, I love the trailers but the reveal & the release are all that concerns me, I already see everything I need to know from the reveal, and I actually play the character when released, Trailers are bonuses…
Plus we’ve seen Gargos, already know he is next and is coming in May so that’s a tease in itself
If Mira is releasing this week when are we ultimate edition owners going to get her? Is she only releasing for people that have the ultimate edition and everyone else next week?
One thing I was waiting patiently for and was pleasantly surprised about is that she addressed Maya. I wasn’t sure if she would actually say something personal or that if Maya would recognize her right away. I’m glad that she didn’t recognize her and Mira had to announce that she is in fact her sister, that confirms my theory that her features have changed since she has been turned…
trailers are for media outlets. We all saw the gameplay stream. People were hyped for the trailers in season 2 not because of the character they saw already and knew all his moveset but because of the tease and the release date. This trailer lacks both.
Just yesterday before the trailer came out i told my friend that i didn’t really care about it because we saw gargos already. (i was assuming the tease would be included and even then it was meh.)
