As a toy collector, I typically despise everything Toy Story stands for, especially Toy Story 2…keeping some mint condition toys out of a museum where lots of people could have fond memories of the ones they had when they were little so one kid could wear them out…pitiful. But the reference is pretty funny.
I do agree. I wish I hadn’t been forced to give away my Godzilla that was worth $400 at the time. Probably worth more now since they don’t make them anymore.
A couple of years ago or so both me and my wife lost our jobs at the same time and I had to sell off about 20 of my more expensive Transformers in order to pay our bills until we got new jobs. It worked, we raised about $1500-2000…don’t remember the exact amount.

Sad. Currently my mother is divorcing my Step-dad and he’s holding all of her Top Cow Comics collectibles (about $10,000 worth) and making it difficult for her to get them back. She has 4 life-sized Lara Croft statues and tons of posters, figurines and comics.

I don’t have many toys anymore but I remember my parents questioning me about them. I told them that some are worth quite a bit, they didn’t believe me of course, until I showed them the bids…
Sucks that it happened man but you did what you had to do.
Eh, it was mostly just trimming the fat on my collection. & besides, the last couple of years have been awesome for Transformers toys, what with them bringing back Combiners & now they’re doing Headmasters under the series name “Titans Return”…I just got a few today, Galvatron is AWESOME!!!
