Some of the local sayings I’ve heard can nearly be a language unto itself. For example: There’s more than one way to choke a dog to death than choking him on bread & butter…WTF? For some reason it’s one of my mother-in-law’s favorites.

Eh, if you’ve ever heard anything from old English properly pronounced we’re all screwing it up. It’s the problem with language being half spoken and half written…the written part typically doesn’t come with instructions on how to pronounce words correctly.
