My house was built in 2008, so yeah it’s new. But to be honest I can’t predict if age will be the best indicator. As long as the house has copper wiring and it’s functional, it might be okay.

This kind of devices work perfectly well, as long as you buy it from a reliable brand and the wiring on your house is not damaged
I recommend something in the 50-70$ range.
I use a TP-LINK AV500 nano. All wired. Went from not having wifi at all to being able to connect via rj-45 at decent speed.

Good point. I was looking at the Power Adapter that I linked earlier in the thread as I didn’t want to invest too much. But I may be getting what I paid for if I decide to go cheaper.
