If you hate Guess Breaking and you know your opponent keeps doing it do counter breaker in place of a linker or auto double. Don’t press a button in the first breakable part of the combo sequence then counter since you can’t get them in that time frame this season. Instead since you know they’re just guessing just counter break instead of doing an auto double or linker.

That sounds like a bad fix to something that’s not much of a problem. It’s already super easy to open up your opponent, there’s no need to make it harder to break combos (which for new players is super hard considering all the different characters we have now).
The one change I could potentially see added that might offset some of the guess breaking would be for each lockout to reduce combo KV value by 10 or so. It wouldn’t make a huge difference but it’ll help the player on offense capitalise on a wrong break attempt.
And you took their word for it, simple as that? You might be giving them too much credit. You should always raise an eyebrow when someone claims to be losing to someone worse than them.

It’s a solution in search of a problem.
There is already a penalty to guess breaking: a 66% chance of a lockout (assuming autos).
