Humiliations? I don’t remember there being so many specials. We got ultra combos, ultimate combos, no Mercy’s, humiliations. What else? Tea times?
Oh that sounds like an idea for a funny thread. Look for it. I’ll probably call it absurd modes and special content.
Lets keep it grounded - we will propably get one Ultimate per character.
Mortal Kombat is the king in terms of finishers and overall brutality, and its standard are 2 fatalities per character (im not counting Brutalities)
Killer Instinct 2013 is nowhere near level of production value, animation quality and gore of new MK games. Reasons for that are: budget, game being over 3 years old, teen rating and engine restrictions.
These reasons reaffirm me that we will get one ultimate per character, and they will revolve around characters special move but 10x bigger - Jagos ultimate is basically big af endokuken.
Altough I think making them purchasable would be bad decision and low blow overall. It always leaves a bad taste in mouth when a feature that was standard 20 years ago barely made it in newest iteration, and you would need to pay for it.

Were you around for KI1? Humiliations were the KI equivalent of MK’s friendships.
Honestly I think if Humiliations made a return they would be better relegated to a stage ultra.

Yeah I remember them, but I thought they were just ultras or ultimates back then
Humiliations were activated in similar fashion to the No Mercies back then, but you had to be on your first life bar to perform one. But yeah, they were their own thing.

Even so, you deserve a medal for at least finding that out.a nd since January’s almost over Feb is right around the corner 
EDIT: Also according to Rukkizel we’re getting Ultimates in waves so that means we can expect everyone to get Ultimates eventually.
I wonder if they’re gonna go like; season 1, than season 2, than season 3, etc.

Have they said that every character is getting an ultimate? I mean, it makes sense and it would be really silly if it didn’t happen that way, but I’m just wondering if they confirmed it anywhere. “Coming in waves” doesn’t necessarily imply every character will get one. I hope it’s the case though.
(Also, if “coming in waves” is actually true, that’s kind of a bummer, unless the waves are like a set of 10 characters every week or something short. It would be pretty frustrating if they were spaced out by months, since some people’s favorite characters will get their ultimates early and others will sit there twiddling their thumbs, hoping for sooner rather than later. It also means that for new players who check the game out because of ultimates, we will have to tell them “sorry, your character doesn’t have his ultimate yet” and that’s kind of a kick in the groin to hear.)
Not quite, but there was one comment from Adam Isgreen talking about Maya’s Ultimate. Whether that was referencing her old Ultimate or her new one is still being debated, but it was the latter for my money. Assuming that comes true, there really isn’t any logical sense for why Jago and Maya would be the only ones getting Ultimates, so its either in waves or everyone together.
So that means we get a patch in February. They said the next patch will release in March though. Interesting. Maybe it’s only the first wave of Ultimates and some bug fixes then.
I think if they gave Kilgore some cool af Ultimate earlier, more people would be willing to buy him.

For all we know they’re already in-game and not unlocked, like Shadow Lords was.

I think it might be in waves where a ssome will have Ultimates in feb and some will get theirs later. That’s pretty much it I think.
He mentioned you’ll be getting some Ultimates in febuary though I could’ve also mis-read it. Well don’t take my word for it really/ But just from what I’ve read I can assume will be getting it in waves and Jago’s will be one of them. Unless it turns out I am wrong and I will humbly accept that if I am : >
A cool fact but I doubt they would be, otherwise we would’ve seen evidence of this. They likely been working ont hese since the end of season3 which wasn’t long ago.
Hasn’t every release month meant the end of that month?
