What games do you find to be emotional?

Ori and the Blind Forest is definitely one game that I find to be REALLY emotional including its prologue as well as its epilogue

Metal Gear Solid.

An example if you don’t mind giving one?

Final Fantasy series

the Mass Effect series

Final Fantasy Type 0

Good answer - that 1 got to me too.

As for the most emotional game I’ve EVER played (and I’m shocked I didn’t recall this earlier) -
Telltale’s The Walking Dead

For a simplistic game, it had absolutely fantastic storytelling and pulled at my heartstrings every single episode for its 5-episode run. I literally, and I kid you not, cried like a little giril in every single episode because of the choices I had to make and because of what happes based upon those choices. Duck, you were my favorite lil’ buddy… :sob:

Dust an Elysian Tale.

  • Mass Effect
  • The Walking Dead Season 1 & 2 (Best Emotional Game I’ve ever played besides Mass Effect.)
  • Metal Gear
  • Batman Arkham Series (More so in Arkham City & Arkham Knight)
  • Portal
  • Resident Evil 2 (On a scary emotional level. As in, you become scared emotionally from the next corner)
  • Dead Space (Poor Issac and his messed up past…)
  • Final Fantasy 7
  • Bastion

The two most emotional games I’ve ever played are Journey and Undertale.

Klonoa: Door To Phantomile got me good

Final episode of Tell Tales Walking dead season 1

Current Gen

  • The Walking Dead, both seasons.

  • The Wolf Among Us.

  • Fallout 4

Last Gen or beyond

  • FF7

  • Gears of War 2

  • Brothers

  • Shadow of the Colossus

  • Spec Ops: The Line

This game for me. Especially the transition into the final scenes.

Different emotions but mass effect 2 and max payne 3 gave a huge adrenaline rush to keep going.
