After numerous delays lasting several years and overall being stuck/mired in DEVELOPMENT HELL for extended periods of time, The Last Guardian WILL FINALLY be release next month of this year in December 2016:
Side-notes: I have a VERY good feeling already The Last Guardian is going to be one of those games that will give you the instant feels AND at the same time will be a tearjerker and overall will be one of those games that will make you cry as well as pull at your heartstrings. Overall an emotional roller coaster ride-type game also. In fact, that trailer ALONE combined with the game’s ALREADY beautiful and melodic musical scores/OST already started to make me somewhat teary-eyed and at the same time almost made me want to weep WHILE I was watching and AFTER I was done watching the 2016 official trailer to The Last Guardian
Also does The Last Guardian give off an Avatar: The Last Airbender vibe to any of you guys by any chance? I know that this game kind of does for me here now
It was a dissapointment waiting for so long. I expected to play it on PS3. Now I know I’m not buying a PS4 to play it. I hope to play it someday if a friend has it, but for now I don’t have anybody close to have that console, all of them live far.
I hope it’s great, because mediocre games don’t benefit anyone. But I have some doubts. I enjoyed Ico but never finished it. But I loved shadow of the colossus and finished that one. I’m hoping this one comes through with something unique and fun.
I loved Ico, and this has a similar art style, which I really enjoy. It’s the first game to come out on PS4 that I truly make me wish I had the system. I really hope it’s good!!
I also hate to be that person, but being able to see whart PS4 can do with graphics I can say how outdated TLG looks. However the ambiance seems wonderful, respecting the previous ones. I also remember liking the creature more in the oldest trailer, it changed over time. I’m very curious about the mechanics. I thought from the start that this game was kind of ambitious with the objective they wanted to achieve in gameplay and connection to the player. I don’t know if they will get it, Ueda left the Studio, I wonder what happened. There must have been problems and I hope those problems don’t mean the game will be mediocre.
I know that in Shadow of The colossus you could do things, different things and have different reactions from the colossus. I wonder if this game AI will be that interesting and special. Because that’s a point I think was important to them.
Ok in short, despite unknown replayability (comparing with SoTC) I feel this game it’s one of the best games I played in 2016. This game was an experience, what other games wouldn’t give me I could it find it here. It took little time and adjustments, and an open mind. Controls can be messy but the mechanics are simple and the idea of not having a hud makes the game intuitive for the player to feel it’s inmersion.
Now, in the end, I feel I’m more related to the creature, and the boy I can compare it to the person I love. It’s funny, you can make this story part of you if you change the way you view things. So let this magic get in yourself and enjoy some special adventure =)
