So what's the goal?

I’ve been playing a ton over the past 2 days. I actually just beat Gargos on Challenging. But what is the ultimate goal? If you keep holding off Gargos forever and ever… does something happen? Once you’ve knocked out his 4 perks, shouldn’t you just skip your turn until you fight him?

Why keep holding off his invasion?

I think the point is not to hold off the invasion but to not let it overwhelm you. I figured that delaying it for too long makes it unnecessesarily difficult. So yeah, if you removed the buffs then go ahead and kick his demon butt. Maybe the devs can add an achievement for keeping the earth clean for a certain number of days. I don’t know.

Yeah I definitely think there needs to be more… Like something for holding it of for 25 days or something.

Yeah, it’s weird that after beating all the Omens you can keep holding it off. I don’t see the point either, besides looting or something.

I agree that there should me a reward or something for seeing how long can you go.

Same, I pretty much skipped the days once I removed all of his buffs.

I guess I just used the days to get more astral gems and energy. Sort of just giving myself as much resources as I could.

@OP Shadow Lords is designed to be infinitely replayable, so you could play as long as they keep adding new stuff. I mean, I guess the soft-cap would be to unlock the entire archive with all the character stories, item descriptions, etc, as well as all the achievements.

End goal in each play through is kick demon butt, obviously, but holding off his invasion until you’re strong enough/he’s weak enough is the main mechanic.

Perhaps they’ll add more

I like this idea. A sort of “dead planet survival” challenge.

My longest playthrough was 30 days so far. I skipped the last two days though. Maybe something does happen. I kinda want to double that.

Yeah IG if you’re listening, great mode, just needs more goals. Feels weird that the point is to hold off Gargos… but you can’t win unless Gargos arrives… Very contradictory. You spend like 14 days holding him off, but once all the buffs are gone, you intentionally skip ahead to let him arrive.
