Poll: best and worst flip out characters

Considerating that all characters have interesting setups for their flipouts, which one do you think has the best flip out setups? You have to choose 3.

Do not only consider what options do you have after the flipout (overhead, low, command grab, recapture…), you have to consider options, how easy its to land your flip out, how important is in that character core gameplan…

  • Sabrewulf
  • Thunder
  • TJ
  • Kan-Ra

And for the sake of making it more accurucate, select the 3 worst flipout characters (their flipout uses are still good, but not as good as the rest of the characters)

  • Sabrewulf

  • TJ
  • Kan-Ra
  • Riptor
  • Omen
  • Hisako

I think the characters that have the most to gain from flipouts are the ones with a bit of grappling, i.e. Thunder, TJ Combo, Arbiter but most of all General RAAM.
Riptor is also uniquely phenomenal since she gets near instant cross-ups out of it.
I hardly ever notice flip out on ARIA, Hisako, or even Kan-Ra (though I’ve still seen it used on him). It doesn’t do a lot for them in my experience.
The others I haven’t mentioned make OKAY use of it but I feel are kinda unremarkable.

Omen has a good ground flip out but his air flip out is not very practical due to his floaty jump. Its just not a major part of his game plan…although it is a major part of my ender game plan for mix ups if my opponent doesnt know when its coming or how to handle it.

To me Thunder and TJ have the best by far and Arias is surprisingly good… you just dont see many Arias

Have you landed a demonic despair after a flipout?

It’s… magic…

I feel like these two remarks are at odds with each other.

Huh…oops. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh man, TJ all day. Just played a TJ that was all over me. I couldn’t breath.

Yes i have… and it looks cool but its not practical in a match nor is it worth the meter and input difficulty for 32% damage. But it looks great!

Again…not worth wasting the meter unless you are playing someone you know you can absolutely destroy. Not worth wasting the meter on a very high level match that could go either way. But Im sure it looks amazing.

Nag i think it is. You and I have a different philosophy on how omen should be played. He has an extra bar of meter and gains it quite handsomely. I’m not afraid to use it to open the opponent up again.

the video you made yesterday is not something I would ever do in a match and I dont believe you would get much out of it in a high stakes match either…but it looks great. Good luck with that.
But back on topic… Omen is not one of the best with Flip out and he isnt the worst.

Oh you watch my videos? XD thanks man. However I was referring to my flipout juggle. If you time it right after the air light punch you can cross up low or cross up over head. All of his Ender’s give him meter so I’m willing to gamble on bar to do a mix up that the opponent won’t see coming. Explicitly since I’m confident I can get the meter back.

EDIT: OK I’ll drop it. Let’s get back on topic.

Just my opinion but I think the flip out mechanic looks stupid. By that I mean the characters themselves look dumb flipping backwards in a tight somersault roll looks ridiculous. Especially the bigger characters. Thunders flip out is an amazing tool but he looks stupid his big ■■■ flipping. None of his movements are that compact but if he gets flipped out he flips like a 85 pound gymnast. Only a handful of characters flip when they jump but now all can flip backward. Just my opinion.
