Does anyone have any tips or guidelines for improving online performance on xbox one? Does changing the security option on a router (WEP or WPA2-PSK) make a difference? Also does Wireless Network channel or mode affect it too?
wire the ■■■■ up, there’s no better way to scrub bits away from your latency, anything else people say will be bollocks.
I would wire it up, oVerde says. Give the Xbox One a static IP address, or set s reserved address for it in the router. And the other thing to do is drop it into the DMZ of your router. This will ensure you have an open NAT for everything, all the time.
If you have to use wireless, I think you can reserve an address and do the same DMZ settings there as well.
