In order for you to unlock the stages in Killer Instinct, all you have to do is to get and own BOTH KI Season 1 and Season 2. That is all you need to do. Nothing more, nothing less too.

They should let you buy stages and characters individually with KI gold. But yeah, if you own the character you get the stage.
