I agree that he wasn’t trolling, but confusion is not an excuse to behave badly, and this isn’t the first time it’s happened, so…yeah.
See Geek was never a troll, he just HAD to be right no matter the evidence provided in a constructive conversation. But that’s the thing, with Geek it wasn’t ugly as much as it was annoying. That and it helped add value to conversations aside from just memes and one-liners.
I’m sure it wasn’t, but I can only speak of the times he would mention Jago. Anything else I’m sure he was just being himself. I’m speaking for him in this instance, as a whole I can’t defend him. He made his bed.
We’re off-topic here
Yeah, I suppose I was just using “troll” as a short-hand for what all you just said here, even though it wasn’t accurate.
lmaaaaao +10
I’ve come back from vacation in Hawaii
only to find my thread In smoldering ash and occupied by vagrants. cluttered with drug paraphernalia on the ground. lol.
Wow, I missed this thread but wanted to thank some of the contributors for their advice on the Gargos player in Vlad’s video, I fought him with my Maya in ranked and he did much the same thing.
It surprised me and took me totally off guard as with Gargos being who he is, I almost expect him to always want to be mid screen/on the opposite side and I’d never fought a Gargos using this style before, I had no clue what to do either and felt like I’d tried everything from jumping, to throw teching to trying to leap kick/jab out, but apparently all at the wrong time.
Not owning Gargos and not encountering him much, I’m guessing that that’s a command grab he’s using? It’s a weird play style for Mr Portal Punch, that’s for sure.
Either way, he squashed me, but I did manage to beat his Rash and get an Ultimate against him in Ranked.
Oh god not again lmao just learn the matchup
block then press mp+mk. congratulations, you’ve countered most rash players including me
No one was even complaining recently dude, was just an observation of a different character. Don’t get your comment.
I think the biggest thing I read in this entire thread, is there is issue taken with optimized play with good conditioning, footsies and setups all in tandem. Gargos chain command grabbing is simply fault of the opponent not getting out. The Gargos player should have to read the jump and do the anti air grab to continue the vortex. Riptor doing tail flips, it’s pretty easy to know what setups they come from if you practice the matchup a bit. Just based on that I know OP would hate my Fulgore. I go for resets into dirty crossups which lead into left right or high low projectile setups which can reset into more of the same. That’s just the nature of KI sometimes, there are characters with overwhelming pressure in the right situation. Your job as their opponent is to prevent that or find ways to stop it. Down Back is your friend. If you see an overhead, you can mostly throw on reaction to the startup and stop that too. Rash is no different. I learned Cinder just because Rash is annoying. Cinder has every answer in the book for Rash it seems for me on top of an unmistakable dp input which can combo every 8 seconds. If you struggle vs a character, then develop a counter pick. Aganos is good against a spammy rash but not against a good one. Really the only thing Rash has is a dirty crossup game. He has good normals but his High Low mixup game is relatively weak if he stays grounded. If you see him tongue the side of the screen behind you, just start walking towards him and when he crosses you’ll block. It’s got a lot of startup for it to be mixing people up. You can even make it whiff sometimes by doing that which can give you a full combo punish.
