Where do you get this stuff? Go play any game and see if you get someone in your skill tier every time you play a ranked match. No one is defending IG because there is nothing to defend. The rank matching search is pretty much just like every other game. It’s not “broken.”
More tiers will do nothing at all to “fix” this. It doesn’t create more brand new players to occupy the bottom tier.
your shadow only gets credit for wins if someone else challenges it, and your AI successfully defends itself (very few points, though). When you control your shadow and beat other players, it’s the opposite- you don’t earn a ‘win’ but you get a ton of points.
As for difficulty of play, well, to be blunt, a lot of the 50 point and 100point shadows will at some point do dumb things a human wouldn’t do. Like NEVER adjust their style during a match. So, it makes it a bit easier to play against. But I still have plenty of close matches, cool matches against the lower point shadows without being overwhelmed, so it’s a nice middleground, that feels the need expressed in this thread very well
