Loading times are a little high

I know they’re necessary to get between matches, but I feel they may need to be disguised under dialogue or when you receive items. I noticed i’m spending anywhere from 10 - 30 seconds just going between menus.

You even have the in between match pages that I think feel unnecessary. You could display the buffs/nerfs in the corner or in the pause menu for the player to check, but pulling me out of the game seems tedious.l

Select Mission > Load > Dialogue > Load > Match > (Possible 2nd match info) > Load Rewards

It feels like each of those can take up a lot of time. If there was a way to disguise loading times while we look at other menus that would be perfect.Things look great, but sometimes stuff animates longer then it should, like the little event pop ups.

I love the mode, but I feel like getting in all these slow transitions might really hurt Shadow Lords in the long run.

Killer Instinct always had loading problems, we need thank Microsoft for the DDR3 memory… so it’s going to be hard to decrease the loading times if they haven’t done it in the S3 update already.

I understand it’s tough to lower those since it’s the engine. I just didn’t know if it was possible to hide level/model loading underneath the much less demanding text/main menu loading. So when you select a mission and confirm the level begins to load, but during that time you get the story briefings.

Sadly it seems like the load times are always going to kinda suck they have since the start i would love to see a mega patch no matter how many gigs to just overall fix all of the load times in everything plus like im sure everyone can agree on even if we know nothing about video games and codeing it cant be hard to cut down these load times or just use less loading the waiting is awful when your in the mood for the fights on a side note charater swap in after death rather than load reload then new charater would be better also like to toss in a vote for in battle dioulouge

As I said in my previous comment, we need to thank Microsoft for the DDR3 memory, it’s the core of the loading times problems in every game (along with classic hard drives that are slow too), that type of memory is too slow to load almost 7GB of memory, so… we have to deal with it.

It’s not the DDR3, per say. The default hard drives are 5400rpm, and only went SATAIII for the Elite & S.

The Elite is a hybrid drive and definitely sees the claimed decrease load times of about 30% or more. It loads quicker than my external 7200rpm, but not much.

When it comes to the S, external HDD does indeed load quicker, at near full capacity, than the internal 2TB, but not as great a gap as before.
But damn, that takes up a USB slot, and so does my Kinect… I really hope the Scorpio is called “Boss” and comes with 6 USBs. (if it’s for VR, it’s gonna need it!)

But, overall, yes, too many loading screens and with large times.
Yes, GDDR5 (which is still DDR3), could help less optimized code load faster, it’s nothing compared to the source’s bandwidth needing an increase.
