Overall Iām sure this mode will be very fun for the casual gaming enthusiast. Ranked might actually get better with the release of this mode for obvious reasons, so Iām looking forward to the release.
Just out of curiosity, how would ranked get better because of shadow lords mode ?
I feel that its going to make ranked better for the competitive player, because right now the ranked mode is oversaturated with casual players (Those who donāt play competitively or seriously). Competitive KI enthusiasts such as myself among others canāt find a challenging match MOST of the time due to this. So I feel this mode will give the casuals something better to do other than get beat up in ranked regularly by pros, competitive players, or other casuals. Furthermore, SL mode will give them more to look forward to, be it un-lockable perks, story fun, online fun, etc. Iāll probably never open SL mode, just as Iāve never opened story mode. I feel that a little division is necessary in this regard, so Iām in favor of SL mode.

I just want to see Mimic Eyedol.
I can pretty much picture it in my head, the default armor and loin cloth colors obviously. A rich green skin tone and a green spiral tattoo on the mageās arm. The heads obviously will retain their purple and red coloring because thatās practically a gameplay mechanic.
That green Sadira looks great! It almost adds a layer of depth her default skin tone was missing, darker and more mysterious.
Mira looks much higher res and more detailed with green skin, like her skin tone actually has some depth to it, she always looked too flat and pixelly to me before.
There were many things they could have implemented to convey the mimic skins.
Sparkling skin, surging veins (Glacius/Mira / Maya electronic huntress outfit) I could name many artistic choices
The character art for in between matches is reversed rather than showing the right sides, a year I think someone could have had this art correct in fashion. Sorry just design protocol knowledge.
IMO the mode will be a great step but again, design is lackluster in the art direction department.
Iām very appreciative of shadow lords mode coming, but I cringe at dropped balls. We havenāt seen all of the upcoming content so I wait before i have a full head hanging disappointment

Remember that Adam Isgreen confirmed (at least Iām pretty sure they did) that mimic colors arenāt the only skins unlockable for characters.
All those mimic skins look dope, I hope there is a RED and BLUE version to unlock.
They did say the guests were also getting mimic colors, right? I canāt wait to see how it looks on Arbiter.
And I just noticed TJās versus art, seems rather simple compared to the others. Kinda hoped to see him have a ābring itā taunt pose.
