Killer Instinct Etiquiette

There are none. I’ve heard things from players like I’m supposed to know these etiquettes automatically. Someone got mad because I did a Stage Ultra on him, so the next match he kept teabagging me. I asked him why and he said because Stage Ultra was unnecessary. If it’s a feature of the game it’s not rude, just like taunting. That’s what the devs added. Devs did not add teabagging as a feature.

Also another player got mad because I made my ultra combo fancy, the extra fancy stuff you do near the end of the ultra combo before canceling with medium kick and medium punch.

When I was fighting Thunder as Glacius, he complained that he had to keep coming to me instead of me going to him.

When fighting Tusk as Glacius he complained I stayed in the corner and kept using projectiles.

Seriously people need to stop making up these stupid reasons and excuses for being sensitive over a game.

I still think Omen has some big balls. Look at his intro.

6 words.

Just tell them to ■■■■■ off. Done, simple and easy to remember.

Oh and keep doing what you’re doing. If you want to taunt, taunt away, if you want to Tbag, tbag away. If you want to do nothing , do nothing. Just remember, there can be consequences to one’s actions. As far as online goes, that usually really only stems to hatemail, blocking, or some form of verbal retort.

You can choose to go with the flow, or fight against it. Or do both.

Yeah, nothing you can do. I personally like Stage Ultras. If it were me, I’d do it again. Lol on The Pinnacle. I’m sure that’s the longest Stage Ultra in the game XD

Yup. That’s the stage ultra my opponent got mad on.

Screenshot and send to scrub quotes lmao

It’s a great one. Like people are saying, it’s part of the game, so do it to your heart’s content. Lol. Seriously, if they are getting mad at Stage Ultras, then they really don’t have much time with the game.

Lol. Some player actually sent me voice messages. I feel like making YouTube videos of these players.

I have a problem with the triple ultra teabagger and relentless taunting types. Stage ultras are fine though. Those end quick, and fights can commence afterward.

Your opponents just can’t stand being beaten fair and square.

#KEEP CALM AND GAME ON

I want to reply to them with something hostile but I just give them advice or say something stupid like “I love you.” If they come back with profanity I can just report them. I’ve reported lots of people and Xbox live thanks me for helping make the community safer lol.

Shoulda seen this salty gamer girl giving me hate mail because I suck and I lost 5-3 to her. She ended up blocking me and probably getting closer (again) to getting me banned or suspended.

How was she salty when she won 5-3 though?

Because, the taunt button is the best button in the game.

S TIER BABY!! It’s unbeatable.

I don’t mind ultras quite as much, but I despise taunting and tea-bagging because those translate directly into insults for me. Everyone interprets them differently, but this is how I interpret them.

Well that is what a taunt is. Insulting the opponent.

I know. And while I have you on the horn, Do you have any ARIA advice? the random character tournament is Saturday and I have been assigned ARIA. I’m serviceable but nothing special. I do like to switch bodies a lot though, to keep them all alive as long as I can.

I can’t really get mad at the taunting because that’s what the devs added. It’s part of the game. However, teabagging is not part of the game, and those piss me off.

Well outside of body management, not much really. You can freely do your own thing. Actually, I would suggest maybe try not to go used to using your assists very often very quickly. Taking unnecessary assist damage may or may not be beneficial in the long term. But you can play that by ear.

When using SB in blockstrings, Keep an eye out whether an opponent wants to actually press buttons and what type of button. If you find your opponent blocks more (and keeps doing nothing) after blocking SB then start pressing buttons. But take caution since SB is always - on block no matter how hard you try to meaty or whatever.

Other then more specific stuff not really much else to say. Kinda just do what you want. As long as you manage your bodies well you’re pretty much good to go.

The short version: Idiots will be idiots, don’t let them drag you down.

The long version: There is no secret code of conduct we’re supposed to adhere to, those people are just salty little whiners who have less skill than they do intelligence. Just ignore them, mute them if you have to and if they get to be toxic report them as necessary.

Also keep in mind this isn’t a Killer instinct etiquette issue, it stands for every online game you can play in this day and age. You could be playing Uno and have some toxic little toad call you out and talk trash, the anonymity of the internet makes everyone think they’re hot stuff, don’t let it bother you. Again, idiots are going to act like idiots.

It’s annoying but just ignore all insults. It’s just the internet. Some of those people wouldn’t even dare look you in the eye if you met them in person so don’t bother. The only thing that can get to me is racism. I was born in the US and both my parents in Mexico but we’re all American citizens. When I talk in Spanish some douche always says “speak English we’re in America” I’m like “you’re dam right we’re in America that’s why we can speak whatever FKN language we want, you dipsh*t” but yea even that I’ll ignore, even though it’s hard, but they’re just internet gangsters so whatever lol
