I’ve played PM and am fairly decent at it, I can get some hype combos on level 9 computers if that counts… Sm4sh is the game I’ve learned the most over my FG time, and maining the random button has helped me a lot in understanding character archs (my true main is Sonic but no spindash spam I swear). Pokken was fun but it’s too easy to burn out on. I’ve recently got ROA on XBone, which is really good and hype but the how the characters are controlled have discouraged me from playing it. It feels finniky. I also have the KOF2012 port on my IPad, luckily special assist exists because you CAN’T do those motions on a tablet. I struggled to do SFXTK on my IPad without special assist lol.
TLDR I play Sm4sh and KI competetively online, play PM and Pokken from time to time, have ROA and some random games on my tablet.
Last year and until April this year, almost exclusively KI, but recently just the fab five: Doa5, VF5, and SFV.
After RAAM (but not becaus of RAAM), I stopped playing KI. Hopefully, SL gets me back into this quality game. I still love KI but not as much as I used to. Recently downloaded KI on PC, so maybe that can rekindle my fire.
Anyway, I am dating other fighting games since April. Also, I bought SFV last week, which I never planned on doing but I did. And I love…story mode. Lol.
The block button debate notwithstanding, this is demonstrably untrue. And besides, DoA and VF both use block buttons and are best played with fightsticks. MK is designed to be played with your middle fifer on block and your index and ring fingers on the punches and kicks respectively. Once you get used to it the block button is not an impediment on a stick.
Having only two punches and 2 kicks and 1 button for block makes MK superior on a controller than any fightstick and I know this because I tried it on both aswell it makes you quicker
Its the number 1 reason sonicfox the greatest MKX player in the world uses a PS4 controller. Using L1 to block with your left hand and the benefit of only needing 4 buttons on the face simply makes MKX superior on controller
hence my point about SonicFox
There is a reason the MK fightstick is designed so weird, now if MK used 6 buttons for punch and kick would be different.

Get out of here. Just. Get. Out.
KI uses a six button layout and tons of people play it on a controller. Justin Wong won a bunch of S1 tournaments in KI with a standard Xbox controller long before combo assist was even an idea. That doesn’t mean a standard controller is “superior.” It’s okay to just say you like something better. You don’t have to pretend that your preference is some kind of universal truth for everyone, then use anecdotes to try to “support” it.
I play lots of fighters, but none on anything like the level I play KI. In the last thirty days I’ve played SFV, Garou: MOW, MKX and KI one and 2 classic. I don’t find the transition to be too tough, especially if you aren’t trying to win tournaments.

Sure! I play all types of fighting games given the chance. Want to pick up SFV eventually once I feel like it’s fully finished.
That said, I hardly take any of them seriously. I’ll learn a combo string or two and timing just for looks but that’s it. KI is the only fighting game I have ever invested time to fully learn.
