I’ve never developed a taste for beer, and it wasn’t for a lack of trying back in college. It’s always tasted like bitter, sour garbage water to me. Granted, most people I knew drank the cheap stuff in college, but even now, with the microbrew explosion of the last five or ten years, I haven’t been able to develop a palette for it. I can tell when some are made better than others, but it all still has a taste at the core that doesn’t appeal to me, which sucks.
I can drink a glass of red wine every now and then, but usually it makes my acid reflux go haywire. Same with most hard liquors like whiskey and especially vodka. I tend to stay away from vodka in general, though that’s more due to a bad college experience than anything else lol.
I’ll also have a rum and coke every now and then, but again, it makes my reflux act all refluxy. Long story short (too late), I’m a blast at parties.
