Definitve Edition from XBox store unlocks content on PC?

hi. I’m a PC player and recently made the switch to win10. I was thinking to get the Supreme Pack but I waited for the release of the DE, seems the better deal. too bad there were no clear information beforehand if it is also available for PC players or not. I just looked into the XBox store (through the XBox app in Win10) and the DE is now available for digital purchase (some here still say that it is a physical copy only which is uncorrect).

can someone who bought the DE confirm that it also unlocks all the content packed with it in the PC version? don’t wanna put 40 bucks into the sand.

and another thing.. what’s the difference content-wise between the Supreme Pack and the DE? I know that I get Shadow Jago with the later one but is there something missing from the SP?

This is first actual confirmation of the DE actually being available digitally. It was listed on Amazon, but they never acknowledged it was a real thing

I don’t think anyone knows what the deal is with it.

We probably won’t know for certain until either someone official confirms it or someone bites the bullet. Logic would assume that yes it should work but…

I bought the digital DE on Xbox One and it doesn’t seem to be working on PC.
Already had S1 and S2 before but no S3 characters are available on PC.
Now trying a reinstall of the game to see if that updates anything…

you’re using the same account on PC right? too bad.. I was pretty sure it would work. tell us if you got it to unlock after the reinstall.

Didn’t they say there was a Windows version of definitive edition? A digital version I think

well the only way to buy content for the PC version in the intended way is to use the ingame shop. and there you still only have the Supreme Pack as the all-in-one option for 50 bucks. so that makes it 60 to have all the characters (+10 for Shadow Jago) instead of 40 for the DE.

Yes i’m using the same account.
Reinstall didn’t help.
I hope they will fix this because it’s confusing that before the windows version had everything i bought on xbox.

Trails also differ between versions now.

It shouldn’t help. The DE technically isn’t part of the KI game. It’s a front-end app that launches KI while at the same time contains all the bonus goodies.

Is your computer updated to the latest Windows build? They had said you had to update for it to work

The Definitive Edition won’t be available on PC until later this holiday. Buy the digital Xbox One version now and you’ll have it when it’s released.

From the press release…

“We’re also pleased to announce that KI: DE will be available for Windows 10 later this holiday! Those who purchase the Xbox One version digitally will automatically receive the Windows 10 version for free as part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program.”

thanks for the info. so I guess I have to wait a few more months, too bad. was really looking forward to play it right now. well at least MKXL is coming for PC next month, that should cover the time.

“this holiday” is refering to the christmas season right?

I saw that the killer instinct definitive edition app updated today to version 1.0.3.0 so i tried KI on Windows 10 and all characters show as “owned” now! If you have KI:DE on Xbox One you can now also play it on PC. :laughing:
