Yomi Gaming invites fighting game players of all ages to participate in regular competitions for various titles! Please refer to the flyer below for full details on how to take part.

Tournament rules for Mortal Kombat XL are as follows:

***** THIS IS A BYOC EVENT (BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLER)

  • Playstation 4 will be the tournament console
  • all matches, including the finals, will be played in a best three-out-of-five format
  • each game will be timed at 90 seconds
  • stage selections are to be decided by double random. However, if both players do not wish to play on the assigned map, they may agree to another stage selection which must also be randomized
  • stage interactions will be enabled at all times
  • if both players agree to a button check, they must select the characters and variations they will start the set with. Once the button check is complete, a player must pause the game and use the Restart Match option
  • at the end of each match, if the players used Dual Shock 4 controllers, they are obligated to desync their controllers from the console to avoid interrupting future matches
  • the loser of a game has the option to change their character and/or variation, while the winner is locked to theirs until they lose a match

Tournament rules for Killer Instinct are as follows:

***** THIS IS A BYOC EVENT (BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLER)

  • Xbox One will be the tournament console
  • all matches will be played in a best two-out-of-three format, except for all the finals which will be three-out-of-five
  • each game will be timed at 99 seconds
  • the loser of a game has the option to change their character, while the winner is locked to theirs until they lose a match
  • Combo Assist is legal
  • both players have the option to agree to a button check, after which they must return to character select to officially begin the set
  • stage selections must be agreed upon by both players. If no agreement can be reached, the stage will be chosen randomly
  • if one or both players used wireless Xbox One controllers, they are obligated to desync their controllers from the console to avoid interrupting future matches

There was none, unfortunately. We’ve rescheduled our KI/MK locals for Saturdays instead, in the hopes of improving chances for a turn-out. Here is our event page.
